So Do I Need To Know Piano To Make Beats?
I get the question around Beatstruggles, “Do I Need to Know Piano to Make Beats?”.
The answer is NO!
There’s a couple different ways you can go about making beats.
- Is playing the piano, and creating your music from scratch.
- Sampling, this is where you take another song, and make a beat by taking “certain parts out of the already created song”.
If you learn how to play the piano, it will only allow you to be more creative by improvising when you are playing piano in your beats. This is really beneficial because you don’t really have to “think about what will work” in your beat, you will already “know it’s going to work”, but is it the sound your going for?
At first when you are starting to learn making beats, keep it basic and learn your program. But as you continue to grow, all these things come into place.
